Design First. Solutions Second.
Most wealth management firms in Ontario begin with products, asset gathering, or isolated transactions. Senatus Wealth begins with architecture. Before a single recommendation is made, we define the intended outcome across tax, estate, liquidity, control, governance, and succession — and only then determine which structures, professionals, and decisions serve your family.
Without architecture, financial solutions produce fragmentation, unintended tax consequences, redundant cost, and false confidence. We believe wealth should be engineered with the same precision our clients bring to their businesses and professional practices.
What Does Senatus Wealth Coordinate?
Integrated Wealth Architecture
We operate at the intersection of strategy, structure, and execution. Our role is to help ensure that each financial decision fits within a coherent and durable system rather than a collection of disconnected parts.
Tax and Estate Planning for High Net Worth Families in Ontario
Advanced estate coordination aligned with Ontario and federal tax frameworks. Corporate and personal tax efficiency. Capital gains and estate liability modelling. Intergenerational wealth transfer planning.
Business Succession and Liquidity Event Planning
Exit and succession readiness for Ontario business owners. Shareholder and estate alignment. Pre-sale structuring to maximize after-tax outcomes. Post-liquidity event planning and capital deployment.
Wealth Strategy, Governance, and Investment Oversight
Long-term capital planning. Family balance sheet optimization. Investment governance. Decision-making discipline across personal and corporate portfolios.
Insurance as Strategic Infrastructure
Purpose-built insurance structures for high net worth families. Corporate-owned and estate-driven planning. Liquidity creation for tax and succession events. Balance sheet protection — not product sales.
Cross-Border Wealth Planning — Canada and U.S.
Multi-jurisdiction coordination for families with Canada–U.S. exposure. Treaty considerations. Alignment with external legal and tax counsel across borders.
Family Governance, Legacy, and Risk Management
Governance frameworks for family enterprises. Decision-making protocols. Philanthropy and legacy structuring. Risk exposure analysis across personal and corporate balance sheets.
How Does the Process Work After You Engage Senatus Wealth?
A Disciplined, Intentional Process
We operate as a thinking partner, not a vendor. Our engagements are structured, deliberate, and collaborative.
Discovery: Complete understanding of your financial ecosystem — personal, corporate, family, and future obligations.
Design: Modeled outcomes, stress-tested assumptions, and a strategic framework before any implementation.
Coordination: Alignment with your CPA, lawyer, and specialist advisors to eliminate overlap and conflict.
Implementation: Solutions executed only once they fit the architecture. Sequencing, timelines, and accountability managed.
Ongoing Governance: Ongoing, day by day oversight, with semi-annual, comprehensive architecture scoping. Continuous adjustment as circumstances, tax, law, and family dynamics evolve.
For Professional Advisors
A Safe Referral for Professional Advisors in Ontario and across Canada and in the United States
We partner with CPAs, lawyers, and trustees across Ontario who recognize when a client’s wealth has outgrown siloed advice. We enhance trusted advisors by clarifying the architecture, reducing downstream risk, and improving coordination. We do not replace existing advisory relationships.

How Does Senatus Get Paid?
Our fees are transparent, disclosed in advance, and structured to eliminate conflicts of interest.
Advisory Fees: Retained advisory and wealth architecture coordination compensated through transparent, agreed-upon advisory fees — scope and ongoing retainer based on complexity, not by the hour.
Asset Under Advisement Fees: Where Senatus advises on investment planning mandates, a separate, clearly disclosed asset-based fee applies.
Insurance Compensation: Where insurance is warranted and implemented, compensation from the insurer is paid by the insurer to Senatus. Insurance is recommended only when the analysis, objectives and wealth architecture are clearly aligned.
